Report for the Zimbabwe Polo X Association

As you are all aware Zimbabwe has been going through some trying times these last few years. Our membership stands at 120 from a high of 450 in early 2002. The main aim has been to try and stem the flow of those that have had to give up due to the economic and political conditions. I think now we are at the the cross roads and the future should be one of growth. Continue reading »

Report for the IPC Meeting Wednesday 15th July 2009

Since the last meeting of the IPC in 2007, the UKPA has been busy setting up the company to run the 2011 World Cup. A venue has been secured and all involved are very excited. A separate report is tabled.

We have been very active in trying to grow the sport and take it to as wider audience as possible. We continue to have very close links with the Pony Club, and have recently been very active with British Riding clubs and University Riding Clubs. Continue reading »

Dear Sir,

We are a newly formed group of people with a passion to play Polocrosse.  Since starting friendly practice meets over 9 weeks ago, we now have over 30 members and each week it is growing.

As polocrosse is a new sport to the Middle East it is at present mainly expatriate players who play, and the generated interest and passion each individual brings to the game shows not only the potential but also a family atmosphere where people from all walks of life can enjoy. Continue reading »

The Netherlands, July 2009
Polocrosse Vereniging Nederland (PVN) / Dutch Polocrosse Association (DPCA)

It’s been two years since the latest update of the Dutch Polocrosse Association. Throughout these years a lot has happened. We, the board, thought it was time to replace the old information for new.

The membership has increased enormously. From only 15 members in 2007, to 45 members in 2009. This is caused by decreasing the contribution for the membership, and by Dutch polo players getting an interest in polocrosse. In the Netherlands, polocrosse is played in four different regions nowadays; South-West, Mid-Netherlands, North-East and in the North. Continue reading »

southafrica_logoAs I write this report the England and South African Polocrosse teams are preparing to go head to head in the UK .My best wishes to both teams. I hope the polocrosse is safe and exciting.

2009 has seen South Africa sending a junior under 16-mixed team and our senior team to Australia in April. The juniors won the series 2-1 and the seniors came a disappointing third at the quadrangular series. What was impressive was Polocrosse Australia. They are truly the giants of our game. Theirs facilities, organization, numbers and standard are difficult to match. Congratulations Australia. Continue reading »

REPORT TO THE IPC FROM THE POLOCROSSE ASSOCIATION OF AUSTRALIA 2007 to 2009
There have been a number of important developments and events during this period, with the shock arrival of equine influenza in Australia in 2007. This had the effect of stopping all horse events – polocrosse included. However following the extermination of the virus polocrosse strongly bounced back and member numbers are now approaching 5000, with continual and steady increase in players and in administrative effectiveness and management.
