The Board of the Polocrosse Association of Australia (PAA) together with Chairman of Selectors, Allan McGill is pleased to make the following announcement for the forthcoming 2011 Polocrosse World Cup to be held in England from 8-17 July next year.
Jessica Jolly a very experienced player both on a national and international level from Victoria has been named a member of the World Cup team and Cameron Shepherd from Warwick in Queensland has been appointed Captain of the Australian Team. Both players are delighted with their appointment. Australia won both the previous Polocrosse World Cups held at Warwick in Qld during 2003 and 2007. This is the first time the World Cup will be held away from Australian soil. The Australian Polocrosse Team comprises of 8 of the most experienced, stunning and talented players and athletes from all over Australia who are intent on defending Australia’s title as the World No 1 Polocrosse Nation.
