History of IPC

 

MaxWalter The International Polocrosse Council was formed at a meeting at the Queensland Gold Coast, Australia on 21st June 1976. The Foundation Countries were: Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Rhodesia and South Africa. Foundation President: Mr Max Walters A.M., M.B.E. (Australia).
International Polocrosse Council Meetings have been held at:

  • First 1976 at Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia
  • Second 1978 at Lake Taupo, New Zealand
  • Third 1983 at Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia
  • Fourth 1987 at Bowral, New South Wales, Australia
  • Fifth 1992 at Forbes, New South Wales, Australia
  • Sixth 1996 at Werribee, Victoria, Australia
  • Seventh 2002 at Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia
  • Eighth 2003 at Warwick, Queensland, Australia
  • Ninth 2007 at Warwick, Queensland, Australia

Portrait_Peter_Crauford At the eighth International Polocrosse Council Meeting held on 5th May 2003, Foundation President Mr Max Walters A.M., M.B.E. announced his retirement and did not stand for re-election. Mr Peter Crauford (AUSTRALIA) was elected President.

wessel At the ninth International Polocrosse Council Meeting held May 2007, MR WESSEL STRAUSS of South Africa was elected President.
