Polocrosse started in France in October 2005 when Hamish Michaël and Jason Burbidge from Arden Polocrosse Club in the UK visited the Henson Riding Centre and organised a polocrosse workshop through a European financed project. Playing Rules – World Cup, Quadrangular and 7 or 8 Person Teams

These rules have been progressively drafted over a considerable period and have been successfully used at the 2003 and 2007 World Cups, 2009 Quadrangular Series and many individual Test Series.
At international tournaments all chukkas will be 8 x 6 minutes unless otherwise agreed by competing countries.
