New Zealand’s Polocrosse team, playing in the four-nation international tournament in Turangi later this month, has been named.
The eight-person mixed team will play what’s expected to be a tough match against favourites, Australia, in the first game on 28 March.
Selector coach, Errol Gloyn says Wanganui-based Paul Kinder and advisors from the NZ Polocrosse coaching panel helped him in the final selection process. Continue reading »

All countries to participate in the 2011 World Cup[SinglePic not found]
As per previous communication I paid a visit to the UK this week to have a look at the new venue, and meet the new organisers. I can positively report back as follow.
The venue itself is situated in a much more visitor friendly environment as to Bishop Burton and is located 80 miles from Heathrow Airport London and 30 miles from Birmingham Airport by road and forty minutes by train from London Continue reading »

Please find below a press release concerning the showing of the UK versus Ireland Polocrosse test matches on Sky Sports in October and attached the actual transmission dates and times for circulation around your members and putting on websites etc.
I hope most of you around the world can get Sky one way or another, if not the test matches will be going up on the Country Channel online TV website, www.countrychannel.co.uk at some point in the near future and I’ll let you all know when it is up there and it will be linked off the UKPA website like the South Africa programmes are at the moment. The Wicklow Bay club recently hosted the European Challenge test matches between Ireland and Holland. The Irish team gave a great account of polocrosse across the country with 8 clubs being represented on the 9 player squad. There were a total of 4 test matches in all, 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday, with all payers selected from the C or D grade ranks. Continue reading »
With less than a year before the World Cup the Irish squad has been assembled and preparations are well under way. The teams have been training over the course this year’s polocrosse season and have recently had a successful outing during the annual Tri-Nations tournament between Ireland, UK and Wales. This also served as a warm-up for the World Cup and gave the national coaches a chance to assess players, positions, line-ups and strategy. Confidence is high in the team Ireland camp and the squad are looking forward to the challenge of the 2011 World Cup.
