Four great opportunities to watch world-class polocrosse at a local venue are fast approaching! Bucks County Polocrosse Club will host an international junior polocrosse exchange and series of exhibition matches this August in Pipersville Pa. In the first week of the exchange 8 top junior polocrosse players from New South Wales, Australia, will join with 8 top junior polocrosse players from across the US in an exciting training camp and exhibition match.  The first pair of exhibition matches will be held Friday, August 13, at 6pm and Saturday, August 14, at 9am at Come Along Farm, in Pipersville Pa.  Spectators are invited to both matches, with tailgating particularly encouraged at the opening math on Friday.  Gates open at 5:30pm, with the match starting at 6.

For the second week of the camp, 8 more US juniors will join the camp for an additional week of training.  At the end of the second week all the participants will take part in a large quadrangular competition on Friday and Saturday sponsored by local businesses.  The first match of the quad will be played on Friday, August 20, starting at 6pm, with the remaining matches being held the following day, August 21, starting at 9am and running until noon.  Tailgating is encouraged on the closing day of the quadrangular, with gates opening at 8:30 and prizes being awarded to tailgaters!  All the matches promise to be great fun for competitors and spectators alike!  To end the exchange, there will be a large Play Day on Sunday the 22, open to polocrosse players of all ages and abilities.  Spectators are welcomed and encouraged at all of the above events

Polocrosse is an exciting spectator sport that combines the speed, grace and strategy of polo with the tough ball handling skills of lacrosse. Polocrosse is a fast moving and exciting team sport involving speed, stamina, and lightning-fast reflexes from both the horse and rider.  It offers the horse enthusiast the opportunity to combine the love of horses and competition with a game of teamwork, strategy, and agility. Polocrosse is one of the few team sports where men and women play on equal footing, and is a multi-generational sport, with children, parents, and even grandparents enjoying a weekend of competition together.  All this makes polocrosse an ideal and highly popular family sport that is enjoyed around the world.

The American Polocrosse Association (APA) is proud to have a long-standing junior exchange with New South Wales, Australia.  For many years, each organization has taken turns hosting or sending a team of junior polocrosse players.  This year there was both an outbound and an inbound tour for each country, with many opportunities for junior players to expand their polocrosse skills and their horizons while traveling to another country or hosting international guests.  The player development program, a part of the APA, is a great opportunity for junior polocrosse players to not only increase their level of polocrosse skill, but also to make new friends across the US and around the world.  In addition to training and competing together, the US and Australian Juniors will enjoy 2 weeks of sightseeing and recreation making memories that will last a lifetime.
